Hair & scalp / LANGEVIAX
Before scalp PRP, establish the hair-loss diagnosis. Evidence for pattern hair loss cannot be transferred to sudden shedding, infection or follicles destroyed by scarring alopecia.

What is the proposed target?
PRP is a platelet-enriched portion of your blood proposed to influence follicular activity; it does not create an unlimited new supply of follicles or transplant hair. Preparations differ in composition and processing. “More concentrated” or “more growth factors” does not by itself establish greater effectiveness. Hair density and shaft diameter should be assessed separately from a subjective impression of fullness.

When diagnosis takes priority
Rapid or patchy loss, pain or burning, scale or pus, or smooth shiny areas lacking follicular openings require assessment. Scarring inflammation can permanently destroy follicles, making delay important. Deficiencies, illness-related shedding, postpartum loss and hereditary thinning may coexist. Blood tests or biopsy should be selected from the clinical findings rather than purchased as a universal panel.

Potential benefit with important uncertainty
A 2024 meta-analysis suggested improved density in androgenetic alopecia, but studies were highly inconsistent, publication bias was evident and evidence quality was low; its search ended in April 2023. A study average is not your chance of success. Compare PRP with diagnosis-appropriate medication, observation and camouflage. Automatically replacing an established treatment is not justified by a promotional success rate.

Set an assessment plan before treatment
Use consistent lighting, parting, scalp areas and wet or dry hair for photographs; camouflage fibres should not confound comparisons. Ask about density measurement, review timing, maintenance and total cost. Disclose medicines, platelet or bleeding disorders and major illnesses. Your sample identity and single-use equipment should be traceable. Do not stop necessary medication yourself to fit a clinic’s routine package.

Discomfort is not proof of hair growth
Tenderness, pinpoint pain, swelling or bruising may follow injections; greater discomfort does not mean better stimulation. Obtain instructions for washing, exercise and resuming scalp medicines. Persistent itching or scale should not be labelled “follicle activation.” Hair response is assessed over time, rather than from an immediate photograph or one day’s count of hairs in the shower.

Separate scalp care from shaft care
When washing is permitted, gentle cleansing and conditioner suited to the hair lengths can reduce mechanical damage; a “growth shampoo” does not replace diagnosis and treatment. Do not put essential oils, scrubs, irritating oils or new serums on open injection sites. If you use minoxidil or another medicine, coordinate its schedule with the clinician and pharmacist; restart timing is not identical for everyone.

Symptoms that need prompt attention
Report increasing pain, warmth, spreading redness, drainage or fever promptly; do not conceal a possible infection with serums or home steroid treatment. Painful blisters near an eye, eye pain or visual change need urgent assessment. Call 911 for breathing difficulty, persistent collapse or severe systemic symptoms. Rapid inflammatory hair loss should not wait until a prepaid course is finished.

Frequently asked questions
Is there one correct session count for everyone?
No. Preparations, loss severity and schedules differ. Repeat treatment should have a goal, assessment date and explanation of uncertainty.

Can PRP regrow hair in completely scarred skin?
Regrowth cannot be promised when follicles have been destroyed. Diagnosing and controlling active disease takes priority.

Why might my photographs differ from an advertisement?
Diagnosis, baseline density, shaft diameter, other treatments and photography differ. An advertisement does not establish your response probability or benefit size.
