LANGEVIAX PROCEDURE GUIDE

Skin surface & scars / LANGEVIAX

Hydradermabrasion and device facials are broad labels. Judge the actual method, applied solutions, measurable goal and evidence limits; a hydrated appearance does not prove deep repair.

What is actually included?

Treatment usually combines exfoliation, fluid flow, suction and topical solutions. Packages may add acids, extraction or LED. Each component has separate potential benefits and risks; findings for one package cannot validate every device facial. Obtain the full ingredient list and included steps before booking, especially for reactive skin.

What studies actually show

A 2008 randomized study of 20 women compared a device-plus-antioxidant-serum course with manual use of the same serum and reported improvements. Its small sample and specific protocol do not validate all facials. An eight-person imaging study in 2024 observed surface changes but no visible collagen quantity or quality difference at two weeks.

Acne, pores and exaggerated claims

A 20-person open-label acne study assessed cleansing, peeling, suction and blue light together. Without a control group and with multiple components, the device contribution and durability remain uncertain; an author had a company affiliation. This does not establish a replacement for standard acne therapy, toxin removal or permanent pore closure.

When to seek assessment first

Seek assessment for active eczema or rosacea, wounds, cold sores, painful acne or prior product reactions. 'Hydrating' does not mean non-irritating: solutions can contain acids, fragrance or botanical extracts. Disclose skin medicines, recent procedures and pigmentation after irritation. Avoid accepting one identical protocol for every skin type without assessment.

Preparation and result tracking

Define the goal: dry skin feel, dull appearance or a diagnosed condition? Use the same lighting and angle in before-and-after photographs; surface shine and different illumination can mislead. Ask what change should persist and when it will be measured. Obtain recovery and product-restart advice for the actual protocol.

Product choices afterward

For intact skin that is mildly dry or sensitive, start with a gentle cleanser and fragrance-free moisturizer. Glycerin, dimethicone or ceramides may suit the formulation; an expensive serum is not an established requirement for maintaining results. Avoid additional exfoliation while irritated and maintain sun protection. Wounds or blisters need clinical care rather than another facial.

Warnings and whether to repeat

Report intense itching, spreading rash, blistering, increasing pain, pus or persistent swelling; breathing difficulty or lip/tongue swelling is an emergency. Repeat treatment is optional if transient improvement is not worthwhile to you. Compare tolerated home care and cause-directed acne, inflammation or pigment treatment. Judge a package by goals and observed response rather than a 'detox' label.

Frequently asked questions

Does hydradermabrasion strongly rebuild collagen?

Evidence does not justify that broad promise. A small imaging study found no visible collagen difference at two weeks.

Section sources: Prospective imaging study · Hydradermabrasion (2024; n=8)

Does that mean it cannot help acne?

One small combination study suggested improvement but did not establish replacement of standard therapy or isolate each component.

Could home moisturizing be enough?

It may be enough for uncomplicated dryness. Pain, cracking, rash or persistent symptoms warrant assessment.
