LANGEVIAX PROCEDURE GUIDE

Emerging approaches / LANGEVIAX

Exosomes are extracellular vesicles involved in cell communication. This interesting biology does not, by itself, establish a safe and effective rejuvenation or hair-regrowth service; products and delivery routes vary substantially.

What exactly is being offered?

Human-derived, plant-derived and other preparations, cell-conditioned media and purified vesicles are not one product. The exosome label or a particle count alone does not establish quality. Request the complete name, origin, composition and storage requirements. A cell-free stem-cell marketing phrase should not conceal differences between preparations or uncertainty about their clinical effects.

What does skin evidence establish?

A 28-person split-face study compared an adipose-derived exosome-containing solution plus microneedling with saline plus the same procedure and found greater improvement in some outcomes. Its small size and short follow-up do not establish long-term safety or validate all preparations. Combination-treatment results also cannot establish the effect of a serum alone or justify injection of that material.

What remains uncertain for hair?

A 20-person pilot trial of one plant-containing formulation was promising; another 16-man study had no control group and combined treatment with microneedling. Small samples and different formulas do not support a general regrowth guarantee. Diagnose the hair-loss type first. These findings do not replace direct comparisons with established care or assessment for treatable causes.

Canadian classification depends on route

Health Canada’s April 2026 final notice distinguishes external use from delivery through the skin barrier. Representation for injection or absorption-facilitating microneedling is inconsistent with cosmetic classification. Cosmetic notification is not approval of sale or effectiveness. Request evidence of classification and authorization for the exact preparation and route rather than extending a serum claim to every procedure.

Quality, contamination and regenerative claims

Human-origin materials can carry infectious-agent or other unintended-effect risks, making source and supply chain important. FDA has warned about unapproved regenerative-product marketing; that is US safety information and does not determine Canadian authorization. A publication, laboratory certificate or research label is not equivalent to approval for routine use in the public.

What belongs after laser or needling?

Do not independently apply an exosome serum to newly injured skin; exposure and risk change when the barrier is disrupted. Follow the treating clinician’s written product plan for the specific procedure. Simple barrier-supporting care on intact skin can relieve dryness but does not treat a wound, burn or infection. Layering multiple products also makes reactions harder to interpret.

Value and warning signs

This is not an established routine service for every skin or hair goal. Compare a measurable aim, direct evidence, total cost, follow-up and the option of no treatment. After exposure, severe pain, increasing swelling, fever or discharge requires prompt assessment; breathing problems, visual changes or sudden neurological symptoms need emergency care. Keep packaging and product details for the assessment.

Frequently asked questions

Does cosmetic notification mean Health Canada approved its efficacy?

No. Cosmetic notification is not approval of sale, classification or efficacy.

Section sources: Health Canada · 2025 exosome classification consultation notice

Can an intact-skin serum be injected?

No. Delivery routes differ; suitability for one does not authorize another.

Are before-and-after photographs enough proof?

No. Lighting, combined treatments and absent controls can distort interpretation; relevant controlled evidence is needed.

Canadian sources take priority for regulatory context. FDA or other foreign information does not establish Canadian authorization for a product or use. A source-check date is distinct from publication date or independent clinical approval.
