LANGEVIAX PROCEDURE GUIDE

Emerging approaches / LANGEVIAX

Polynucleotides and PDRN attract attention in aesthetic medicine, but regenerative or DNA-based does not mean proven superiority. Benefit needs to be judged for the exact product, treatment site, delivery route and clinical goal.

PN, PDRN and exosomes are not interchangeable

PN and PDRN are DNA-derived polymers, but fragment length, formulation properties and terminology vary across publications. Exosomes are a different entity, and PRP is a blood-derived preparation. A proposed mechanism for one substance does not establish clinical benefit for every product. Ask for the complete formulation and a clear explanation of how it differs from other options.

Promising studies with important limitations

A 2025 review included nine studies and 219 participants, with low-to-moderate study quality. Some wrinkle, texture or elasticity measures improved, but techniques and products differed. Small samples and limited follow-up cannot reliably detect rare harms or establish long-term durability. No serious event observed in a study is not equivalent to proof that the treatment is risk-free.

What do comparisons with HA show?

In a 27-person periocular trial, overall aesthetic ratings did not differ significantly between PN and non-crosslinked HA, although some instrument measurements differed. This does not establish universal PN superiority, and the comparator does not represent every HA filler. Volume correction, hollow-related shadow and skin-quality improvement are distinct goals that should not be merged into one promise.

Do not transfer wound evidence to rejuvenation

A 2026 randomized-trial review covers rejuvenation, postoperative scars and wound healing. Findings from one condition or delivery route do not automatically apply to facial aesthetic injections. If a clinic presents a wound study, ask what direct evidence addresses your goal. The optimal general protocol, maintenance schedule and durability are not established as one universal standard.

Origin, classification and authenticity

The material’s origin, complete formula, label, batch and delivery route should be clear; disclose allergies. Request verifiable Canadian product status and involve a pharmacist when needed. Cosmetic notification or overseas availability does not establish authorization for injection in Canada. This page does not certify any particular PN or PDRN product as authorized or suitable for you.

Swelling and aftercare

Discomfort, bruising, swelling or raised injection sites can occur, so a review plan is essential. Do not add active cosmetics, acids or makeup to injured areas without clearance. Gentle cleansing and fragrance-free moisturizer on intact skin provide supportive care rather than a guarantee of injection benefit. Self-selected antibiotics or steroids should not be used to conceal a complication.

Warning signs and decision questions

Severe or increasing pain, unusual discoloration, discharge or persistent swelling warrants prompt contact; new visual, breathing or neurological symptoms require emergency care. Before paying, ask what measurable improvement is expected, what evidence supports this product and what happens if it does not help. Basic care or no procedure remain options; DNA-repair marketing cannot establish guaranteed rejuvenation.

Frequently asked questions

Is PN the same as exosomes or PRP?

No. Their composition and origin differ, so evidence and authorization require separate assessment.

Section sources: Scientific review · Molecular distinctions between PN and PDRN (2025)

Is it necessarily better than HA filler?

No. Goal and product matter; a small comparative trial did not establish universal superiority.

Does regenerative mean I need injections?

No. The label establishes neither medical necessity nor certain benefit; compare goals, evidence, risks and cost.
